IoT - What It Is and How It Is Impacting Food Safety (Part 1 of 3)

The “Internet of Things (IoT) - Part I” is the first of a three-webinar series that explores how the IoT is poised to have a major impact on the food supply chain – all the way from the farm to the individual buying food from a retail outlet. Based on recent research carried out by Quocirca, and commissioned by Rentokil Initial, this webinar looks at the various areas where the IoT will enable the food supply chain to gain the maximum benefits.

Throughout the series, we will discuss topics related to food safety, such as:

She has authored many publications in trade magazines relating to pest management, food processing, facility management, healthcare, hotels, etc. Judy’s contributions have been recognized by the industry; PCT/Syngenta Professional Products Crown Award for Technical Excellence, PCT/Syngenta Crown Leadership Award for contributions to the pest management industry, and NPMA Woman of Excellence Award.

Savvas has been in the pest control industry for more than 20 years. He held various positions in the public and private sector of the pest controll industry. In 2012 Savvas was appointed as Group Director for Service innovation within Rentokil Initial and in late 2013 he took over the additional responsibility for Rentokil's Science Centre. In addition to his work with Rentokil Initial, Savvas currently sits on the executive board of the British Pest Control Association.

Gene is an Entomological Society of America Board Certified Entomologist (BCE) and currently works for Rentokil-Steritech as the Technical Director of North America. Gene’s professional activities include memberships in the Entomological Society of America and Pi Chi Omega, a professional pest management fraternity. He is a regular speaker at industry conferences and state associations across North America.
